At our drug treatment centers, we provide dual diagnosis. We believe in taking a holistic approach to treating drug and alcohol addictions. Our programs and treatments are purposely geared toward healing the each individual as a complex whole. An addiction is rarely the only problem one faces; there are often other deep-rooted matters that lead to the addictive behavior that must be resolved as well. Our treatment programs at Sundance allow these matters to be addressed and solved as well as the addiction. We have a variety of different methods of healing that when combined, support the person through the treatment process and build a strong foundation for success. Our individual therapy focuses the session on the resident, providing customized attention, guidance, and healing plans that are tailored to the direct needs of that individual. The group therapy sessions can aid each patient to feel welcome, secure, and help them to obtain the realization that other people are going through exactly what they are going through. These therapies, in addition to our experiential therapy, in which we have activities like nature walks, painting, and yoga, are a combination that is a verified and successful method for lasting success and healing.

Customized Treatment Plans

To have the most effective treatment centers, we know that it is essential to customize each healing plan on an individual basis. As soon as a person enters our center, we begin assessing and determining what processes and treatments would work best for them based on the specific drug and behaviors exhibited in each case. With the assistance of our entire team as well as the client, we are then able to determine what the best methods of healing would be and set up a specialized treatment plan along with congruent goals for a brighter future.

Each resident is assigned a qualified and considerate addiction counselor. Their counselor will remain with them throughout their treatment process. The counselor will note the development of each patient and decide if certain treatments are working, or if they should be altered. These counselors will guide them in resolving not only their addiction, but other issues that enable that addiction as well. By addressing the various other matters that become present when there is an addiction, a holistic and healthy balance can be attained for the patient; this ensures greater success rates, and lasting effectiveness.

The Group Therapy sessions are also essential to each healing process. During Group Therapy, our residents are able to see that not only are the counselors and staff helping and guiding them, but that they are able to learn from the group's discussion and analysis that is guided by the counselors. Group sessions allow the residents to share and most importantly show support for each other and to celebrate one another's victories.

Family Treatment Plan

Family is a critical key to going through the treatment process of an addiction. Families can be devastated when someone they love is addicted to drugs or alcohol. The Family Treatment Program at Sundance aids the family in showing support for their loved one, as they handle the pain of addiction as well. We help the family become well-informed about addiction - the nature of it, the effects of it, behaviors that enable it, and how they can offer those they love the inspiration to stay clean and sober. After the healing process, the family becomes a main part of lasting success. The support of one's family and friends can be a major beneficial influence in helping the resident to maintain the foundation that will help their loved ones live free of addiction forever.
