The purpose of our alcohol rehab center is to provide healing on many levels, including emotional, psychological, and physical problems associated with alcohol and drug addiction.
There are 2 main stages of treatment that lead to recovery. The 1st stage is known as awareness, where an individual becomes aware of behaviors and ideas that have enabled them to continue their addiction. The 2nd stage of recovery is known as transformation this is when our clients begin to change those negative behaviors and ideas in order to obtain a more positive, healthy lifestyle.
To supplement individual and group therapy, we at Journey Healing Centers have designed a variety of activities specially chosen to aid in the recovery process of overcoming addiction. These experiential activities include such things as Art Therapy, Yoga, Toltec Wisdom Groups, and Rhythms and Life Drumming Therapy, Sweat Lodge and Nature Walks. Activities such as these allow our clients to not only participate in enjoyable activities, but also allow them to gain insight into their lives and begin building a sober lifestyle free from addiction.
